What Changes in a Tall Cut

Adding inches to a hem is not tall sizing. Here's what's different in every piece below:

• +1.5 inches of body length — the hem finishes at the hip, not above it
• +1.5 inches of sleeve — including the cuff, so bracelets and watches still have room
• A dropped waist seam — moved down to sit on your natural waist instead of your ribcage
• A raised, lengthened armhole — full movement without the sleeve pulling the shoulder out of place
• Repositioned pockets and zip pulls — set for a longer torso so your hands fall naturally
• Bust, waist and hip unchanged — you keep your shape, you just stop running out of jacket

Is Tall Sizing Right for You?

Tall sizing here is drafted for women between 5'8" and 6'2". Height is the quick answer, but torso length decides it. Order tall if:

• Sleeves stop above your wrist bone, or short enough that you push them up to make it look intentional
• Fitted and belted jackets nip in above your natural waist
• The hem sits at your waistband instead of just below it
• You buy a size up for length and lose the shape through the shoulders
• Your usual trousers are a long or tall inseam

Where the Tall Cut Matters Most

Biker and moto. The shortest, most fitted silhouettes we make, and the ones a standard grade ruins fastest. A tall motorcycle jacket keeps the sharp waist definition instead of cinching under the bust.

Bomber. Ribbed hem, easy through the body. Our bomber jackets in tall let the waistband settle at the hip rather than riding up over whatever's underneath.

A note on cropped styles: cropped is a design choice, not an accident. Graded properly for a long torso, a cropped jacket still hits at the waist and still looks deliberate. It's the ungraded ones that end up at the ribs.

Is tall the same as ordering the next size up?

No, and this is the mistake that costs most tall women a good jacket. Sizing up widens the bust, shoulders and hip. Tall sizing only adds length, so the jacket still follows your waist. Sizing up is why a jacket ends up looking borrowed rather than fitted.

Do tall sizes cost more?

Will a tall jacket work if I have a long torso but I'm not tall?

Often, yes — torso length matters more than overall height. Compare your back-length measurement against the size chart rather than going by height alone, and email us if you're between the two.
